When the leaves just start appearing as little yellow-green tufts in spring, I get a little goofy. Especially when the light hits them from behind, making them glow like little stars floating around the branches. “Spring Woods” tries to capture that look of glowing, lacy leaves. I had some fun doing it in the Pointillist style, using tiny dabs of color to create the whole scene. Close up, it’s rainbow confetti.
